Early Years Funding
All 3 and 4-year-olds are entitled to 15 hours of funded Early Years education and may be eligible for up to 30 hours.
Appletrees accepts applications for children who are eligible for:
- Under 2s Working Parent funding
- 2 year-olds FRAS (Families Receiving Additional Support)
- 2 year-old Working Parent funding
- 3 & 4-year-old Early Years funding

Calculating Your Funding
Our fees are calculated to cover 50 weeks of the year and split evenly over 12 months. The funding provided by the government covers 38 weeks of the year. This too is split evenly over the 12 months. We also stretch the funded hours your child is eligible for over 12 months.

Enhanced Provision Fees:
(Effective from April 2026)
Your fees will include an enhanced provision fee – this covers items not included in the government funding. This is charged at a rate of £1.51 per funded hour attended – however it is non-compulsory but includes the following items:
Food (Breakfast, lunch, tea, snacks) £1.33p/h
Non-food consumables (Creams, tissues, tissue paper, wipes etc…) £0.14p/h
Activities, trips (bus tickets, external activities) £0.04p/h
(Parents/carers will be required to deliver/provide for these items daily and will be provided with a full list should should they choose not to pay for them)
